Because i wanted to play around a little bit with Titanium i have created the ExtJS API Doc as a Desktop Application.
There was a version available for Adobe AIR some time ago – now it is available again, but made with Titanium not with Adobe AIR. I plan to update the App with a search Interface so you can do a full-text search on the API Docs. I also plan to update the Docs to the latest version as it is officially available via ExtJS Website.

Go to the download page and select the API Docs App for your desktop platform – Windows, Linux or Mac.

This solved my problem:

sudo vim /usr/lib/firefox-3.5.2/firefox.sh

In this file i added this code on the second line AFTER the first line:

First, you have to install gentoolkit if you haven done this already. Then we remerge or update all packages where USE flags have changed. Then we are searching for unneeded dependencies and remove them. Finally we check if there are any packages with unresolved link dependencies, let them emerge and then clean up some directories.

Optionally you can defrag some of your partitions if this is neccessary. In case of XFS you can do this by:

gentoo ~ # xfs_db -r /dev/hda2

After this you should have a cleaned up gentoo environment, with no broken dependencies and no unneeded packages or libraries.

“Saros is an Eclipse plugin for collaborative text editing and
distributed pair programming, i.e. it allows two or more developers to
work together in real-time on the same files. It is similar to Gobby,

Each Button is within a single div. Every button has its icon and a button text. Image and Text are in a span tag. the “add” and “delete” class is added to differentiate the buttons. This is useful if you want to add some behavior in JavaScript.

The important css declarations and attributes are “display: inline-block”, “vertical-align: middle” and “line-height: XXpx”. The line-height tells every .button block the exact height of the inline elements underneath. The inline elements .icon and .text are handled and displayed as an “inline-block”. Firefox 3 and most of the other major browsers supporting it so it is safe to use it. Read more on this.

The result should look like this:
I think the example is simple enough to adapt it to your needs and other use cases. Please keep in mind that in the example i use -moz-border-radius. This declaration is mozilla specific. So if you want rounded corners in IE you have to wait until IE is implementing this. Take a look when this is scheduled and follow my suggestion.

If you are searching for a list of CSS Attributes and their compatibility in the major browsers with examples, demos, hacks or workarounds to get it working Cross Browser wide take a look at http://www.quirksmode.org/css/contents.html and http://de.selfhtml.org/navigation/syntax.htm#css (only in german language at the moment).

So, what does this mean? PLEASE, do not support IE anymore! Develop your web-sites/applications that they degrade gracefully to IE, if you want so, but do not create them to work and look the same way with the same functionality. Use the features most other browser supports (CSS3, …) and tell users of IE that they have to use a modern browser!

Tell the people about other browsers. Tell them how easy it is to migrate to another browser and what the benefits are FOR THEM!

WE DO NOT WANT AND NEED ANOTHER “NEW” IE. The last ones were enough.

This was the last upgrade i had to make, because of the new automatic upgrade system introduced in WordPress 2.7. In Future an upgrade will only be a click away. Yay.

One thing that changed in the Flash Player 10 for security reasons is that some APIS like the File Upload API, can not be accessed without User Action. That means for example that some Upload Scripts like SWFUpload or FancyUpload were broken, because they triggered the upload dialog in a hidden Flash movie. For now on this can’t be done. The Link has to be clicked by the user to trigger the Upload Screen.

Take advantage of the new, high-fidelity and open source Speex voice codec, which offers a low-latency alternative for voice encoding. Flash Player also supports ADPCM, HE-AAC, MP3, and Nellymoser audio.

File upload and download APIs Enhanced

Some conecepts really looking interesting. One of these is that google chrome should be multi threaded and multi processed. So it is impossible that one tab crashes the whole browser process.

One other convenient thing for google is that they can test their new browser to millions of millions web pages and then can give immidiately feedback to their developers before they launch a new version.

They did not say that they will compete Browsers like Firefox or Safari, but they hope they can profit from each others development. One thing which is interesting is that Google is supporting the Mozilla Foundation on Firefox Development. This is going to be interesting.
