So Whats new in this Release?
Some of the “minor” changes and updates:

Eclipse 3.4 Support. This Inlcudes many Bug Fixes and enhancements.
Improved SQL Query Builder
Improved Stability and Bug Fixes. I personally hope the annoying Build Errors when opening a project are fixed.

As i promised. Here a first look at the new Zend Framework Release 1.6.

Dojo Integration
1.6 is the first Release of the Zend Framework with Dojo Integration. What does this mean?

JSON-RPC Server
dojo.data Envelopes
Dojo View Helper
Dijit integration with Zend_Form & Zend_View
Dojo Library Distribution

Unfortunately there are no samples yet in the samples folder of the package.

Andi Gutmans has announced on his Blog that the Dojo Toolkit and Zend cooperates together on the Zend Framework.   • matt: thanks for the tip. freeing up the distfiles freed me up 5GB of diskspace. My root is only 20GB which I thought should be plenty but my disk hit 100
